The Psychology and Law of Law and Order First Episode – Amanda Warren, FBI Agent

The reality show „Law and Order: Special Victims Unit“ is a favorite of many who like the idea of a female version of „CSI“

This show recently became a spin-off of „Law and Order“ with a sister show „Law and Order: New York“ which focuses on the women police officers in New York City. The show portrays a lot of male brutality which makes the female law enforcement officers, like Amanda Warren, a target.

I watched this show the other night when my daughter-in-law birthday came up. She knew all the characters.

The series centres around Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), that had been perhaps not the best person to be approximately. When she turned into this candy however demanding officer who was equally cruel, I had been surprised. She was a cop from the beginning.

This series focuses alot on her partnership with all fellow member Detective Michael Walsh (Steve Zahn). He is now engaged to be wed to an aspiring celebrity. However, at the beginning of show they are always paired together.

Their next case involves the case of a serial killer that was committed by a mentally ill stalker, Stacy Hudson (Sarah Michelle Gellar). Olivia gets close to Hudson because she believes that he is her good side. The show takes some pretty controversial topics into consideration like jealousy, pity, love, and love lost and a popular psychology. Amanda Warren is amazing women. She was my favorite character, although the show did not really take her out of the equation. She was still one of the main players on the show.

If you have not watched the show yet, I highly recommend it. You can catch it on Showtime. But there is so much more that this show is dealing with like abuse and family dynamics.
